Bar-Bat Mitzvah Information Night

Rabbi Lerner, Temple Administrator Ron Boro, and members of Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom's bar/bat mitzvah training team will present our synagogue's program of education for b'nai mitzvah, information about facilities, and a calendar open for your selection of bar/bat mitzvah dates.
The meeting lasts one hour.


Another season gets underway as we continue to educate,
stimulate and update our congregation with a wide variety of interesting speakers. These lectures are open to all and we welcome newcomers of all ages.

Sisterhood - Brotherhood Annual Meeting
Please take note that the Annual General Meeting of Sisterhood/Brotherhood will take place on Monday, September 23, 2002 at 7:30 PM
followed by entertainment and refreshments.
Nominations to the Sisterhood/Brotherhood Board of Directors for 2002-2003 will be accepted by our Nominating Committee, and any of the members mentioned below may be contacted by phone. Again, this is your opportunity to participate in helping to plan and carry out the varied activities of Sisterhood/Brotherhood.
In accordance with Article 8.18 of the Constitution and By-Laws of Sisterhood/Brotherhood, the Constituent Society of Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom, any further nominations may be submitted to the Board, provided that each nomination be made in writing and duly filed with the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee at least thirty (30) days prior to the Annual General Meeting, and provided further that such nominee shall have agreed to stand for election and that each nomination has been signed by at least five (5) members in good standing by the Society.

This month we celebrate the holiday of Sukkot by inviting into our Sukkah our personal "ushpizot", those female ancestors or mentors whose lives and teachings have inspired Jewish women from biblical times until now.
