The mandate of the Art Committee is to 'Bring Art to the Community and the Community to Art'.

Founded by the late Geraldine Lithwick in 1993, this committee started Temple’s permanent Art Collection and continues to acquire works on an ongoing basis.

The committee stays active with programs including art exhibits by professional and Temple members, arts and crafts festivals, symposiums and round table discussions.

Other projects spearheaded by the committee are Tree of Life Mural in the Sanctuary, the Shabbat and Baby Naming tables on the bema and the needlepointed ties adorning the Torahs; a collaborative effort from Temple artists.

We look forward to new and exciting projects for the upcoming year and welcome artists and art lovers alike to join this dynamic committee.

Meetings are held approximately every six weeks.
