In 2009 we initiated a letter campaign to stand up against those who advocated for legal brothels in Vancouver. This would have been a gift to traffickers and pimps who would profit from the sex industry that accompanies large sporting events, such as the Olympics. Our letter campaign was a success and we were able to use the vast anti-trafficking network in North America to send emails and letters to the mayor of Vancouver. We regret that we have not yet established a Jewish Abolitionist Network. Such a network could put us in contact with our Jewish community with one click on the computer. Our Interfaith Coalition partners are able to do this, reaching tens of thousands. We invite synagogues, Social Justice Committees, Sisterhoods and Brotherhoods to join us and add your names to petitions and letters that can change the outcome of human trafficking issues. Contact us for further information about becoming a modern Jewish abolitionist.
