Family Programming: Kids First and Tweens First
Kids First offers educational programs for young children and their families. Fun-filled events, including tot Shabbat, Sukkot and Chanukah parties, and other celebrations focus on Jewish holidays and traditions. Tweens First offers activities for older children, usually at the same time as Kids First activities, so that all children can take part in age-appropriate activities during our family events. Both Kids First and Tweens First activities are open to both Temple members and non-members.
Past programs include “The Exodus Journey: A Family Passover Experience”, where families embarked on a “journey” of fun and interactive activities commemorating the Israelites’ escape from slavery in Egypt and explored the traditions observed on Passover in preparation for their own family Seders, and the “Family Yom Ha’Atzmaut Celebration”, where families participated in a series of fun and interactive activities commemorating the birth of the State of Israel, including arts and crafts, folk dancing, a parade and Israeli treats.
