“Yih’yu LeRatson/Oseh Shalom” by Bruce Chalmer.

The Amidah, the central prayer of our services, concludes with a personal meditation and a prayer for peace. Today’s inspiration is a recording of this beautiful part of our liturgy by soloist Rona Nadler and pianist Mark McDonald.  The musical setting is by Bruce Chalmer, a choral director and composer based in Vermont.

May the words of my mouth
And the meditations of my heart
Be acceptable before You,
O God my Rock and my Redeemer.

May the One who causes peace to reign in the high heavens
let peace descend on us and on all Israel,
and let us say:  Amen
