Session One: Spirituality of the Everyday. What is the difference between religion and spirituality? How can spirituality infuse our lives every day – or at least once a week? Explore some of the central ideas and approaches surrounding spirituality in Judaism.
Session Two: Spirituality in the Zohar and Kabbalah. From Madonna to Meron, holy water to red threads, there is a lot of talk of Jewish mysticism. Learn the history and theology of Judaism’s core mystical texts, and come see what the fuss is about.
Session Three: Spirituality and Ethics. The little-known Jewish spiritual practice of Mussar is enjoying a revival, with its combination of ethical principles and daily spiritual discipline. Learn where it comes from, and how you might connect to this old-new practice.
