Apple Picking

Spend a beautiful morning picking apples with Temple members of all ages. Extra bags of apples will be collected for The Dêpot Community Food Centre.

Parenthood drop-in
Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

Welcome to the parenthood! Do you have a baby and perhaps crave the long-lost art of chatting with other adults? Do you want to find some parent-friends? Fear not! Two Doulas is partnering with Temple to offer a weekly drop-in for coffee, cookies, and company with your babies. A member of the Two Doulas team will be there each week to host, answer your questions, and snuggle your babies when you need a bathroom break (or when you just want to use both arms). This drop-in is open to all parents and guardians of children 1 year-old and under.

The group is free with a suggested donation to help keep the cookies, tea, and coffee flowing. We can’t wait to see you.

Learn Modern Hebrew

Beginners: Wednesdays from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm | Advanced: Thursdays from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm | From September 11

Modern Hebrew, taught by Noa Haran, with an emphasis on oral communication. Learn and practise basic vocabulary that will enable you to have simple conversations in Hebrew – on the bus, in a café, or at the synagogue! Open to all; “Advanced” is for students who have been studying with Noa or by permission of the instructor. We need a minimum of 6 students to run each class. Online registration available. Cost: $140 for members; $160 for Friends of Temple.

Flower Arranging Workshop 201

We will review the designing rules of proportion, colour and texture and then break them! Hands-on course spending the majority of time creating. Bring your floral knives if you have them from past workshops. Vases and accessories will be provided. Bring your troublesome vases from home and learn how to tame them.
Taught by Temple’s past president, Denise Grossman, retired owner of Jardenise Florist, with 20 years’ experience as a floral designer and event planner.
Participation in 101 course not a pre-requisite. Advance registration only.  Cost: $40 Members, $50 Friends of Temple
