Donations and Tributes

There are many ways to give at Temple…

Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom is now accepting Interact etransfer for a minimum $18.00 donation. Thank you for sending payments via Interac etransfer. Please indicate in the notes of the Interac payment what this payment applies to. This way we can post the transaction accordingly. ie: (Programs or event or donation)

LIFE & LEGACY is a partnership between the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) and Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom that promotes after-lifetime giving.

Why participate?

Making a provision for Temple in your will or estate will leave a legacy for future generations ensuring that the traditions and institutions that mean so much to you today will exist for tomorrow. To have a conversation about leaving a legacy at Temple please send us an email.

  • In Judaism, remembering those we love is connected with giving tzedakah in their memory, as a way to honour their legacy. As in the past, we ask for a donation of $18 for each name/photo that you submit. Names and photos submitted after August 21st may not be included in the video.

  • This class is suited for those who have completed the 201 class or have a basic overview of the Hebrew alphabet. No further knowledge other than the sounds of the letters and vowels and how they combine to form syllables and words is needed to begin this class. We will continue developing the ability to read, write and speak short words and sentences using common Hebrew prayers, blessings and rituals and also engage with Jewish cultural topics such as the history of the Hebrew language, holidays and traditions.
